These terms govern your use of Closet at joincloset.com and in our iOS app. By creating an account or using Closet, you agree to them.

Using Closet

You must be at least 13 years old to use Closet. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Please give accurate information when you sign up.

What Closet is

Closet helps you discover clothing sold by other retailers. We do not sell products ourselves. Purchases happen on the retailer's website, under the retailer's own terms, prices, shipping, and return policies. Product details, prices, and availability come from retailers and may change or be out of date. Some retailer links earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you.

Your conduct

Closet has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. This applies everywhere in Closet: comments, one-to-one messages, group chats, reactions, and the pieces and outfits you share. Don't use Closet to harass or bully others, post or send hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise objectionable content, send spam, share unlawful content, impersonate anyone, or try to break, overload, or get around the app's security. We filter comments for offensive language, and we may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these rules, without notice.

Comments, messages, reporting, and blocking

Comments you post on items are public to other Closet users. Messages, group chats, and reactions are seen only by the people in that conversation. You can report any comment from its menu, and any message by pressing and holding it. You can block any user from the same places: you will no longer see their comments or messages, and they can no longer message you. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms, and remove the users who posted it. Comments reported by several people are hidden while we review them. To report something urgent, email joinclosetapp@gmail.com.

Your content

You own what you create in Closet, such as your display name, saved outfits, comments, and messages. You give us permission to store and display that content as needed to run the app, including showing comments to other users and showing other content to friends you share with.

Retailer partners

Retailers who submit products through our partner portal agree to additional partner terms and are responsible for the accuracy of what they submit.

Our content

The Closet name, design, and software belong to us. Product images and names belong to their respective retailers and brands.

Ending your account

You can stop using Closet at any time and delete your account in Settings, or ask us to delete it by emailing joinclosetapp@gmail.com. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we discontinue the service.

Disclaimers

Closet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the app will always be available or error-free, or that product information is accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Closet is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any purchase you make from a retailer. Our total liability for any claim relating to Closet is limited to $50.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use Closet after an update means you accept the new terms.
